Start your morning with a delicious breakfast at 7am before we embark on a city and cultural tour, including a visit to a fascinating museum and the bustling local central market. Afterward, we'll head to the stunning highlands, located at an impressive 8000 ft above sea level.
Once we arrive, we'll treat ourselves to a tasty lunch at a charming local restaurant. Get ready for your first bird experience at Batsu, a renowned spot for birding enthusiasts and photographers alike. Take in the breathtaking scenery and snap some incredible pictures before we make our way to our cozy hotel.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with us today! Get ready for an early start at 5:30AM as we explore the captivating world of birds in San Gerardo de Dota. Brace yourself for a tantalizing encounter with the mesmerizing Quetzal, a super special bird celebrated in various cultures for its symbolism and breathtaking plumage. Our "Looking for the Quetzal Walk" will take place from 5:30AM to 8AM, followed by a delightful breakfast at our hotel. Afterward, join our bird expert on a thrilling birding walk.
By noon, we'll be en route to our next birding destination, Sarapiqui, with an estimated travel time of 3.5 hours. Don't worry, we'll make a stop for a satisfying lunch along the way. Finally, wrap up your day of birding with a delicious dinner at 7 PM.

DAY 4
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel around 7am. Afterward, pack your bags and head to the La Selva Biological Reserve, just 15 minutes away, for an exciting 3-hour bird-watching adventure. With hanging bridges to explore, you'll be immersed in nature.
Around 11am-12pm, we'll make our way to our next bird-spotting destination, La Fortuna. This charming town is famous for its majestic volcano, and we'll be staying here for two nights. Once we arrive, you'll have some free time to explore the town, do some shopping, and enjoy a leisurely lunch.
At 2pm, get ready for a delightful chocolate tour that will surely energize you. After the tour, we'll check into our hotel and take some time to relax before starting our night tour at 6pm. Dinner will be provided after the tour, so you don't have to worry about a thing.

DAY 5
Join us for an exciting morning of birdwatching on the Bogarin Trail, starting at 7 AM sharp after a delicious breakfast. Along the way, you'll have the chance to spot various animals in their natural habitats. The trail will conclude around 11 AM, and our aim is to have everyone back at the hotel to unwind and enjoy the soothing hot springs for the remainder of the day. However, for those interested, there will also be optional tours available. Our knowledgeable tour leader will be there to assist in arranging any additional activities you may want to explore.

Depart for the San Jose airport today after an epic educational Costa Rican experience!
